After 6 years of working in the health and fitness industry and 3 years working in academia with health education outreach, I have set out to share my knowledge through freelance writing and blogging.

I am an advocate of total wellness which to me encompasses physical, mental, spiritual, environmental and financial health.

My educational experience includes a MS in Nutritional Sciences - Wellness & Sports Nutrition and a BS in Nutrition, Fitness and Health.

My writing experience includes fact sheets, articles, newsletters, PSAs and program curricula on various topics in the areas of physical activity, wellness and nutrition. In addition, I have articles published in the Journal of Extension and the Journal of Sport Rehabilitation. I currently contribute health articles to LIVESTRONG.com and Greenmaple Wellness, Inc.

I am currently living abroad. Traveling to experience new cultures and see new things is a passion for me. I enjoy writing about my experiences to help fellow travel lovers. Each year I try to fit in travel to the Caribbean, Europe and various small trips around the US. Currently, I am also trying to do as much traveling as I can in Brazil and other countries of South America.
